The unexpected meeting 🫣

Shreedha reached home and saw her mother in the kitchen. She walked toward her and asked,

“Mumma, koi aaya hai kya?”

Her mother replied,

“Haan, Chirag aur uska ek friend aaye hue hain.”

The moment she heard Chirag bhaiya’s name, she felt excited. After the strange incident earlier, she thought that finally something good was happening. Without wasting time, she went upstairs to the terrace.

As soon as she reached there, she stopped.

Standing on the terrace was the same guy she had collided with earlier.

At the same moment, Dev heard a soft voice coming upstairs—someone speaking to herself. When he looked, he was stunned.

It was Shreedha.

Both of them stared at each other in shock.

Their reactions, however, were different—Dev felt a small flicker of happiness, while Shreedha’s expression was a mix of frustration and surprise.

She walked straight toward him and said,

“At that time I was giving you the amount for the damage, and you refused! And now… what are you doing here in my house?!”

Dev opened his mouth to respond, but before he could say anything, Chirag arrived.

“Oh, to tum aa gayi,” he said casually. “Let me introduce you both.”

Turning toward Shreedha, he said,

“Shreedha, this is my friend Dev.”

Then looking at Dev, he added,

“And Dev, this is my cousin Shreedha.”

Their eyes met again.

Silently, both of them decided not to reveal that they had already met before.

Soon after, Dev received a call and stepped aside to attend it. When he returned, Shreedha quietly told him,

“Better hoga ki hum kisi ko na batayein ki hum pehle mil chuke hain.”

Dev looked at her for a moment and nodded slightly.

After that, all three of them went downstairs.

Dev and Chirag had only come for dinner, and Shreedha’s father warmly insisted that they stay and eat with them.

While Chirag later attended a conference call, Shreedha busied herself with household chores, unaware that Dev was quietly observing her.

During this time, Dev noticed two things that captivated him completely.

First, Shreedha could be clumsy, yet she handled it with charm. When she accidentally bumped into a wall on her way to the kitchen, she laughed at herself and continued gracefully, as if nothing had happened.

Second, her love for Kathak was evident even in the simplest moments. As she moved around the house, her steps, her gestures, her expressions—all carried the rhythm and grace of a classical dancer. Even while doing chores, it was as if her soul danced, lost in the music only she could hear.

By the end of the evening, Dev was completely mesmerized, not just by her beauty, but by the elegance, passion, and life that radiated from every move she made.

Soon it was time for Dev and Chirag to leave.

As they walked away from the house, Dev’s mind was still with her.

Chirag noticed his distraction and asked,

“Tu kaha khoya hai, bhai?”

Dev hesitated. If he spoke about Shreedha, it might risk their friendship. So he simply shook his head.

"Kahin nahi."

Chirag didn’t question him further, but Dev knew the truth.

His thoughts were still somewhere else.

Still on that terrace.

Still on the girl who had bumped into his life as unexpectedly as she had bumped into that wall.

And somehow… he had a feeling that this wasn’t the last time their paths would cross.

Thankyou for reading my loves🫶🏼
